I have a philips DVDR3440H Harddrive and DVD recorder any know how to make it region Free

hi i have a problem with this dvd recorder in that the dvd tray will not eject i just get a message BLOCKED any help please

when i switch the dvdr on the phillips screen comes up but then goes black and it doesnt start - maybe a pin code is needed ?
