DVD Writer
I have recently started having one typical issue in DVD copying.
The copies run fine on computer, but when I play them in DVD player, they hang frequently, then skip some frames, then again hang, and afte skipping some frames, play again.
Also, all of a sudden, my DVD writer (although it shows writing rate 8x) started taking longer time for the whole process (45 minutes earlier Vs 2 hrs now). I am using DVD Shrink and Nero combination.
Does anybody have any inputs?

Assuming you have checked the Nero settings (haven't switched to 2x burn), or something, is the media actually able to burn at 8x ?
Some drives will only burn at full speed on media that it knows is supported.
What burner and blank media are you using? Do the copies work on any other DVD players, or just on your PC? Could your DVD player be on the way out?

If its oh high quality setting some dvd players wont play it and does exactly what you said.your software probably switched to a default setting and you didnt notice it.Set it on lower setting like medium quality so it will play on all dvd players and check it before each time you use it and make sure it didnt switch back.Also most dvd burn at 16x.If you do it that slow (8x)it might increase the problem for the dvd player.
