dvd size
I'm new to this and just bought an NEC DUAL LAYER 16X DVD±R/RW ... I've used it to burn quite a few movies, but every once in a while I get a message saying that I need to use a dvd that can hold 7.9gb (any number under 8gb). Are there 8gb disks? Is there a way to copy a dvd that is 8gbs onto a dvd dual that is 4.7gb?

you can use numerous programs to shrink the dvd, but remember the smaller the lower the quality. also try removing the menus, extras, etc.

dvd+r dl (dual layer or double layer) holds 8.75 gb.very expensive,wont work in all dvd players.It dosent matter if it holds over 8 as long as its at least the required amount.Good luck trying to get all that on a 4.7 with any quality whatsoever.Maybe try convert to divx
